EarthFest!

The Student Government Association and SustainableUMD will be hosting our first annual EarthFest event at Hornbake Plaza on April 20th, from 11 am to 3 pm. EarthFest will showcase student organizations, labs, UMD departments, and any groups that are involved in Environmental Science and Sustainability in a fun way for students to celebrate earth week and get involved.

We wanted to invite you all to join us for Earthfest! We also wanted  to ask you to lend your hand in spreading the word through your wide network of contacts and resources so that more students, especially those who are not already well connected to sustainability, could join in as well.

If possible, could you please share information on our EarthFest event through any news/update channels or Internal Communications to reach students with this opportunity?

Here’s a synopsis that can be easily shared:
“EarthFest will be a First Look Fair type event on April 20th (April 22nd as a rain day) from 11am-3pm at Hornbake Plaza. This event will entail fun DIY activities, photo booth, a collaborative art display, raffles, prizes, and various student clubs, departments, and labs who will bring fun interactive activities with informative displays!

No registration is required to attend EarthFest! Join us at Hornbake Plaza on the 20th from 11am-3pm, and celebrate Earth week with us!”

If you also know of any other student groups, labs, departments, etc. who would be interested in having a table at our event, please direct them to complete the registration form below.
Here is the registration form to get a table (Due by 4/17):

All we ask of them is to bring an interactive activity if possible, or some kind of fun informative & educational showcase related to the topic that they would like to show to students!
