AAG Summer Series applications are open

Start your summer off right with AAG's 2022 Virtual Summer Professional Development Series designed specifically for graduate students, graduates, and undergraduate students. Registration for all events is open now.

This Summer Series will feature workshops, seminars, working groups, and forums between May and August, striving to guide current and recent geography students through their academic and professional journeys while connecting them to peers and resources.

AAG developed this series specifically to help students and recent graduates across the geography spectrum, with five different event types lined up for Summer 2022. Check out the line-up, register today, or forward this message to anyone you think might be interested.

Workshops and working groups require a completed application by April 28, 2022 (spots are limited so apply today):

  • Advanced-level Workshops designed for graduate students that will demonstrate best practices associated with an advanced-level method in geography.
  • Working Groups led by graduate leaders that will facilitate topic-driven conversation and peer-monitoring through regular meetings.
  • Post-Graduation Essentials Workshops that will focus on tools and resources every recently graduated geographer, graduate student, and undergraduate student might need, from how to build a template for graduate funding opportunities to strategies for embarking on a career in research.

The following events will be available for registration any time over the summer.

  • Networking and community-focused Graduate Forums led by the AAG Graduate Student Affinity Group.
  • Seminars designed for Master's or Doctoral students in Geography programs and recently graduated geographers, with topics including teaching, publishing, professional development and more.

Spots will be limited, so be sure to act soon.

These events are free for AAG members. If you aren’t yet a member, join today and receive access to this program and so much more.
