The Brilliant Legacy of Madam C.J. Walker Flyer

The Brilliant Legacy of Madam C.J. Walker
This event will present the legacy of Black women's entrepreneurship, civil rights, women's rights through the career and philanthropic activism of Madam C.J. Walker.
The absolute best representative of this legacy is Walker's Great-Great– Granddaughter A'Lelia Bundles, the key speaker for this event. Bundles herself is an incredibly accomplished author, journalist, and activist. Her thirty years long career in television as an executive and producer is prolific in its own right. She is currently at work on her fifth book titled The Joy Goddess of Harlem: A'Lelia Walker and the Harlem Renaissance.
An upcoming Netflix project starring the brilliant Octavia Spencer is based on Ms. Bundle’s 2001 biography, On Her Own Ground: The Life and Times of Madam C. J. Walker.
