Panel Discussion: Economic Analysis of the War in Ukraine

The department of economics is organizing a panel discussion on the war in Ukraine.

All undergraduate and graduate students are invited. See below for a full agenda for the panel.

  • 3:50-4:05: Prof. John Wallis (Mancur Olson Professor of Economics): The fiscal history of military spending in the US.
  • 4:05-4:20: Prof. Luminita Stevens: The impact of a long war on the US economy.
  • 4:20-4:35: Prof. Sebnem Kalemli-Ozcan (Neil Moskowitz Endowed Professor of Economics): The expected impact of economic sanctions on Russia and the impact of the war on the international economy.
