Interested in Graduate School?

The College of Behavioral and Social Sciences cordially invites you to attend Gateways to Graduate School: GRE Workshop. This event will take place Thursday, November 2 from 5:30-7:30 pm in 1202 Edward St. John (TLTC). Prospective graduate applicants who are interested in pursuing a masters or doctorate degree take the Graduate Record Exam (GRE). Applications come from diverse academic and cultural backgrounds, and the GRE provides schools with a conventional measure for comparing candidates’ qualifications.

Students who participate in GRE preparation workshops show significant improvements in their scores. For students preparing for graduate school, this GRE preparation workshop explores all three areas of the test (verbal, quantitative and analytical writing). A well-trained facilitator will provide each participant with an overview of the test, tips, and strategies as well as resources, practice exams and study material that will help you tackle the exam.

This event will include:

  • Free dinner and refreshments from Potbelly
  • Insight into the new GRE exam
  • Strategies and tips that will help you master the exam!
  • Opportunity to ask a professional study skills coordinator questions regarding the GRE

This event is limited to the first 50 students who respond. To reserve your spot, please RSVP by 5 pm on Tuesday, October 31. 2017. If you are interested in gaining more training, please register here using the following link: https://go.umd.edu/greworkshop
