Wild Women in Geography Field Trip

WWIG is a social organization through which students, staff, and faculty meet in relaxed and fun environments to unwind from our grueling and sometimes agonizing research and teaching schedules.

This year, they have partnered up with the Geographical Sciences' own GSO to bring you something a bit more high profile and truly conducive to learning and excellence: WWIG and GSO will host a field trip to the National Museum of Women in the Arts in Washington, DC this Sunday, October 7th at 12 pm. With a collection of over 5,000 items and world-class exhibitions, the National Museum of Women in the Arts is "the only major museum in the world solely dedicated to championing women through the arts."

So take a break from the all the despair and grief of today's news and current political climate (*cough, cough* SCOTUS) to join WWIG and GSO in celebration of butt-kicking women!!!

Luckily for us, today's glorious weather is forecasted to continue well into this Sunday, which also happens to be the Community Day at the museum, which means that admission is free! This is event is open to all, so please bring friends and family.

We would like to get a headcount if possible, so PLEASE RSVP HERE.

DATE & TIME:
Sunday, October 7th @ 12 pm

LOCATION:
National Museum of Women in the Arts
