GIS Short-term Consultant Opportunity




The Famine Early Warning Systems Network, or FEWS NET, a leading provider of objective, evidence-based food security analysis, is looking for a GIS consultant to create a 40-45 maps for three different country reports based on primary and secondary data. The estimated level of effort is up to 15 working days between June 25th and August 15th.

The candidate should have a B.S/B.A or M.A degree in a GIS field, preferably geography. Current M.A. or upper-class B.A. students may be considered based on experience, work samples, and relevant course-work. The candidate should have experience with ESRI ArcMap 10.5 including experience with editing, joins, geoprocessing, and thematic mapping, including experience producing professional publication quality maps for reports and presentations using a consistent format and style.
