The Geography Department is looking to recruit help with Maryland Day!
Volunteers are needed to:
-Staff booths
-Guide people to the GIS demonstration at McKeldin 2109 (the Portico Room)
-distribute fliers
We will need volunteers to cover 2 hour shifts.
We are going to have two locations, one near Chincoteague Hall and one in front of McKeldin Library. The later will be used to lead people to up to the 2nd floor in McKeldin where they well have a “tech area” that will feature a GIS demonstration.
All help is welcomed and we will be sending out a sign up sheet late this week, so please volunteer!
GTU members are REQUIRED to help. If you are unable to you need to contact Alycia Roberson at aroberso@terpmail.umd.edu; otherwise this is your last opportunity to fulfill your required semesterly service hours.
