Undergraduate Research Day

MARYLAND CENTER FOR UNDERGRADUATE RESEARCH

WEDNESDAY, APRIL 29, 2015
Francis DuVinage, Director – http://www.ugresearch.umd.edu/

We invite students, faculty, and staff to join in celebrating our undergraduates’ remarkable and varied research accomplishments at the annual Undergraduate Research Day (URD) poster presentation WEDNESDAY, APRIL 29, between 1:45 and 3:45 pm, in the Grand Ballroom of the STAMP Student Union. We will have a record number of posters and presenters.

URD is Maryland’s largest, most visible, and most diversified showcase for undergraduate research accomplishments – come and learn from hundreds of team and individual presenters!

**This year URD will feature the work of the first cohorts of students participating in Maryland’s “First-Year Innovation & Research Experience” (FIRE) Program!**

Faculty who are interested in learning more about incorporating undergraduates into their research teams can pick up names of faculty colleagues who are mentoring undergraduates through academic departments, but also through FIRE, Honors College-Gemstone and other research-based campus programs for undergraduates. It is also a great opportunity to talk with students about their research experiences.

Students and faculty can get a taste for the range of undergraduate research that is happening across campus. It is an especially great venue for students who are earlier in their research careers and may need some practice before presenting at a thesis conference or professional meeting.

Where: Grand Ballroom, STAMP Student Union
When: Wednesday, April 29, 2015 from 1:45 pm to 3:45 pm
