The University of Maryland will host its 2nd Annual Social Justice Day on Monday, April 23, 2018 in theAdele H. Stamp Student Union and Memorial Chapel. Drawing from the success of the inaugural event,Social Justice Day 2018 will be a daylong exchange inviting faculty, staff, students, and our community to learn about the work of others involved in important causes and to share ideas.

- 8:30-9am: Registration/Sign-In Colony Ballroom, Adele H. Stamp Student Union
- 9-9:15am: Convening & Opening Remarks, Introduction of Keynote Speaker Colony Ballroom, Adele H. Stamp Student Union
- 9:15-10:15am: Opening Keynote by Peter Neufeld J.D. Colony Ballroom, Adele H. Stamp Student Union
- 10:30-11:45am: Panel: Policing, Sentencing, & Consequences: A Social Justice Perspective Colony Ballroom, Adele H. Stamp Student Union
- Chaired by Dean Gregory Ball, including Dr. Kris Marsh (SOCY), Hon. Judge Alexander Williams, Jr. (ret.) (The Judge Alexander Williams, Jr. center for Education, Justice and Ethics), & Dr. Wade Jacobsen (CCJS)

- Includes a University Career Center table on Careers in Social Justice
- 4-5pm: Closing Keynote by Rev. Jesse Jackson Memorial Chapel
