Looking for an internship close to UMD? Look no further! The College Park Public Works office has a part-time hourly GIS position in their Engineering Division.
The GIS Intern will support City functions and efforts as needed through cartographic support, field collection and surveying, data and geodatabase administration, and occasional publication of formal geographic utility reports. Ideal candidates are individuals who are able to work independently and effectively manage their resources given to them.
Requirements:
- must be an undergraduate or graduate student at the University of Maryland
- able to work independently and effectively
- proficient knowledge of ArcGIS Suite, including ArcGIS for Desktop and ArcCatalog
- fluent knowledge of Microsoft Office
- able to accurately research, create, and design with datasets and geospatial information
Position Details:
- Located at 9217 51st Ave, College Park, MD 20740
- Part-time 20 hours per week available. Hours are flexible to accommodate Part-time employment if necessary.
- Ability to work from home on a limited, case-by-case basis.
- Compensation:
- $12.00/hr for Undergraduate Students
- $15.00/hr for Graduate Students
