Thought Delivery Systems, Inc. (in Silver Spring, MD) is hiring an intern to assist with QGIS (or substantially similar software) mapping projects. The internship involves gathering data for a variety of mapping projects, including and not limited to:
- Species-specific global maps of the world's oldest and largest trees, overlaid with progress in (1) archiving their DNA, and (2) re-establishing old growth forests with each of these species. This mapping work is being done for the Archangel Ancient Tree Archive: https://www.
ancienttreearchive.org/ - National bicycle trail and infrastructure design-mapping projects as overlaid with 5G network designs.
- Fiber Optic and Fixed Wireless Network planning and builds
- Visual Representation of Wireless radiation at various locations throughout a building, a neighborhood, a town, a metropolitan area, a state, a region, a country, and a continent.
A stipend of $1,000-to-3,000 will be provided (depending on hours the intern is available) will be provided this Spring semester. There will also be Summer semester internships/employment opportunities.
